WOOA Plastic Surgery βΊ Frequently asked questions
What is eyelid revision surgery and how is it done in Korea?
Eye revision surgery corrects problems remaining after a previous double eyelid or ptosis operation, such as a loosened crease, asymmetry, scars or an unwanted crease height. According to the clinic website, the cause of the earlier problem and the current condition are checked first, and then the method (buried suture or incision) and the crease are decided again.

How it is done
The plan is based on the problems of the previous surgery and the current condition of the eye. The clinic states that the method can be changed β buried suture to buried suture, buried suture to incision, or incision to buried suture. By case: for eyes of different sizes, the old crease is released, ptosis correction evens out the eyes, and a new crease is made; for visible scars, the cause is corrected and the scar is removed, and then a new crease is made; for sleepy-looking eyes, ptosis correction is done at the same time. For a double fold, existing adhesions are released and fat repositioning or ptosis correction reduces the extra fold; where there is enough spare skin, adhesions are released, scar tissue is removed and the tissue is pulled and fixed to correct the line.
