How it is done

The method is chosen considering wrinkles, the eyes and forehead width. (1) Non-incisional (thread lift): for milder forehead wrinkles, threads are placed in the dermis and fixed. (2) Partial incision: a small incision inside the hairline scalp, dissection under HD endoscopic view, lifting of the forehead with the brows and eyes in mind, fixation with a fixation device (Fixtine) and closure. (3) Incisional: a scalp incision of about 15 cm along the hairline, endoscopic dissection and fixation. The clinic states that the retaining ligaments around the eyes are released and the corrugator muscle that pulls the brows down is removed. The clinic states that hairline incisions are made at a 45-degree angle to reduce strain on the hair follicles.

Frequently asked questions

How long is the operation, what anesthesia is used and how long is recovery?

Per the clinic's surgery information, the operation takes 2 hours under sedation, and the recovery period is stated as 7 days. Actual recovery differs between individuals.

Where is the incision and how long is it?

The partial-incision method uses a small incision inside the hairline scalp; the incisional forehead lift uses a scalp incision of about 15 cm along the hairline. For milder wrinkles, threads can be used without an incision. How visible the scar remains differs between individuals.

How do I choose between non-incisional, partial-incision and incisional?

Per the clinic's guide table: non-incisional if forehead wrinkles are mild and you only want brighter-looking eyes; partial incision to improve forehead wrinkles and drooping eyes together through a small incision; incisional for deep forehead wrinkles. The clinic notes the table is for reference only and consultation is necessary.

How much does it cost?
