How it is done
Non-incisional ptosis correction strengthens the eye-opening muscle through tiny punctures without cutting the skin; the clinic lists it as suited to thin skin, and it creates a double eyelid crease at the same time. Incisional ptosis correction makes a skin incision, removes unnecessary fat, muscle and skin, and then strengthens the eye-opening muscle; it is used when the skin is thick or there is a lot of fat. The amount of iris exposure is set according to facial proportions such as face shape, the triangular zone extending from the nose and the distance to the eyebrows.

Risks and side effects
- Swelling, bruising, pain, bleeding and infection can occur.
- Asymmetry or a result that differs from the intended shape may require correction or revision surgery.
- Over- or under-correction can cause a left–right difference in eye-opening height; re-correction is then discussed.
- In the early period the eyes may not close fully or may feel dry.
- The incisional method leaves an incision scar; with the non-incisional method the correction or crease can loosen over time.
Results and recovery vary by individual. Possible complications are explained during consultation.
