How it is done
At consultation the areas of concern are checked, and tip type, skin layer, number of shots and energy level are planned area by area on a dedicated chart. The tip depths described by the clinic are 1.5 mm (upper dermis), 3.0 mm (lower dermis and fat layer) and 4.5 mm (SMAS). Skin layers are checked on the ultrasound image during treatment and energy is focused on the target layer while avoiding blood vessels and bone. The clinic also describes a two-handed technique using two devices at once (Dual Ultherapy PRIME). Body Ultherapy PRIME delivers HIFU down to the subcutaneous fat and SMAS and is described for the upper arms, abdomen, flanks, thighs and calves. How do the tip depths differ?

What if I am worried about discomfort?
