Double-bubble deformity revision — WOOA Plastic Surgery
A double-bubble deformity is when the original breast fold does not disappear following implant placement, leaving two fold lines and a step in the lower breast. According to the clinic, it is corrected by capsulorrhaphy — suturing the loosened lower capsule to raise the implant. Price: KRW 10,000,000~ Per the clinic's surgery information: operation time about 2 hours, general anesthesia, same-day discharge, no stitch removal, recovery period one week. If capsular contracture has pushed the implant down, the capsule is removed as well.

Who this is for
- When an extra fold line appears under the breast
- When the contour looks uneven in clothing
- When two fold lines make symmetry and volume look worse
How it is done
Breast proportions are checked and the inside of the breast examined by ultrasound, then capsulorrhaphy sutures the loosened lower capsule to raise the implant. If capsular contracture has pushed the implant down, capsule removal is performed at the same time.

Risks and side effects
- Revision is also implant surgery, so the causes of capsular contracture the clinic lists (bleeding or hematoma, infection with inflammation, excessive fibrosis) can occur again.
- Capsule-related conditions listed by the clinic include implant rupture, capsular contracture, seroma and calcification.
- Keloid-type scars can form; they are treated with scar injections.
- The clinic states that breast revision is more difficult than the first operation.
- The clinic notes that a double bubble develops gradually, is hard to detect early, and may be caused by complications such as capsular contracture, so accurate diagnosis is needed.
Results and recovery vary by individual. Possible complications are explained during consultation.
For international patients
- The clinic website (ABOUT WOOA) states that interpreters and 24-hour care staff are available. Supported languages are not listed on the website, so please confirm during consultation.

Frequently asked questions
Why does a double bubble happen?
The clinic lists an implant sitting below the original fold, an overly large initial pocket, thin skin and soft tissue, uneven tissue settling during healing, and excessive exercise or weight change.
How is it corrected?
By capsulorrhaphy, suturing the loosened lower capsule to raise the implant, with capsule removal added if capsular contracture pushed the implant down.
How long is the operation and do I stay in hospital?
About 2 hours under general anesthesia with same-day discharge; there are no stitches to remove.
Who performs the breast surgery?
The clinic's breast surgery and breast revision pages state that three board-certified plastic surgeons — Dr. Kim Woo-jung, Dr. Park Young-ji and Dr. Park Hae-yeon — operate in person. A board-certified anesthesiologist is dedicated 1:1 to anesthesia from the start to the end of surgery.
