How it is done
An incision of about 3–4 cm is made along the armpit crease; throughout the operation the HD endoscope is used to identify the fascia and create the pocket, and the capsule and implant are removed or replaced. Depending on its condition, the capsule is treated by capsulotomy (partial excision) or capsulectomy (implant removed first, then the whole capsule). The incision is closed with Dermabond.
