Who this is for
- When the implant has moved up and the upper breast bulges excessively
- When the implant does not settle down over time
- When no natural lower contour forms and the result looks artificial
How it is done
Breast proportions are checked and the cause identified by ultrasound. If capsular contracture, implant size or a non-adhered implant is the problem, the implant is replaced, resized or removed; if the lower pocket is closed off or too small, additional dissection enlarges it. Capsule incision or removal of capsule and implant is added if other problems are found.

- Capsule-related conditions listed by the clinic include implant rupture, capsular contracture, seroma and calcification.
- Keloid-type scars can form; they are treated with scar injections.
- The clinic states that breast revision is more difficult than the first operation.
- The clinic lists causes of upper-pole fullness as capsule tightening from capsular contracture, a narrow pocket, weak tissue elasticity, an implant size unsuited to the body, and insufficient care right after surgery.
Results and recovery vary by individual. Possible complications are explained during consultation.

Frequently asked questions

How is it corrected?
If the implant is the cause, it is replaced, resized or removed; if the lower pocket is too small, additional dissection enlarges it.
How long is the operation and do I stay in hospital?
About 2 hours under general anesthesia with same-day discharge; there are no stitches to remove.
Who performs the breast surgery?
