Preservé surgical steps
- Step 1: the Motiva Channel Separator creates a tunnel through a small incision without cutting tissue.
- Step 2: an inflatable balloon expands the space inside the breast, positioned at the boundary of the breast's retaining ligaments.
- Step 3: the pocket's extent, symmetry and any bleeding are checked endoscopically, then the Motiva implant (SmoothSilk Ergonomix2 with Zen) is inserted with an insertion sleeve and the incision is closed.
Standard implant augmentation
An incision is made in the armpit crease (about 2–4 cm) or the breast fold (about 3–4 cm), the pocket is created under Full HD endoscopic view and the implant is inserted with a Keller funnel. Placement is either dual-plane or subfascial (under the fascia of the pectoralis major), and the incision is closed with Dermabond.
Who Preservé suits (per the clinic)
- Those with some breast tissue who want a natural size rather than D cup or above
- Those whose upper breast became hollow following childbirth
- Those who cannot take a long recovery period
- Those who want the incision hidden in the armpit crease

Risks and side effects
- Both are implant surgery, so capsular contracture can occur (causes listed by the clinic: bleeding or hematoma, infection with inflammation, excessive fibrosis, implant damage).
- The clinic only describes Preservé as an approach "designed with sensory preservation in mind"; preservation of sensation is not guaranteed.
- The operation time, incision length and recovery figures in the comparison table are averages and vary with the patient's condition, the extent of surgery and the implant volume.
- General complications such as bleeding, inflammation and infection can occur following surgery.
Results and recovery vary by individual. Possible complications are explained during consultation.
