Where can I get breast revision surgery in Seoul?

WOOA Plastic Surgery: HM Tower, 492 Gangnam-daero, Gangnam-gu, Seoul. About 2 minutes on foot from Exit 3 of Sinnonhyeon Station (Line 9), about 6 minutes from Exit 3 of Nonhyeon Station (Sinbundang Line). Plastic surgery on floors 3–6 (dermatology on 10 and 12). Mechanical parking in the building (large sedans, electric vehicles and SUVs cannot be parked). Breast revision moves the existing implant or replaces it with a new one when problems arise following a previous breast operation — implant damage, shape change or pain, asymmetry, or dissatisfaction with size or shape. According to the clinic, internal problems are checked by ultrasound and the capsule is removed partly or entirely as needed.

Frequently asked questions

Does revision always require a breast-fold incision?

The clinic states that if the implant was originally inserted through the armpit crease, revision can be done through the armpit crease; if through the breast fold, through the breast fold.

Is the whole capsule always removed?

No. When only the shape needs improving, a capsulotomy removes part of the capsule; when rupture, capsular contracture, seroma or calcification requires full removal, a capsulectomy is performed. This is decided from ultrasound and other test results.

How long is the operation and do I stay in hospital?

Per the revision sub-pages, about 2 hours under general anesthesia, with same-day discharge or a one-night stay depending on the type. There are no stitches to remove.

Who performs the breast surgery?

The clinic's breast surgery and breast revision pages state that three board-certified plastic surgeons — Dr. Kim Woo-jung, Dr. Park Young-ji and Dr. Park Hae-yeon — operate in person. A board-certified anesthesiologist is dedicated 1:1 to anesthesia from the start to the end of surgery.
